Peculiarities of attention in children 6-8 years of age with Delay of Mental Development and typical development in inclusive educational conditions

Аннотация

The results of modern research indicate that up to 30% of children aged 6-8 years have learning problems and can not cope with the requirements of the school curriculum. Most often, these children have a mental delay. An increase t of such children is observed all over the world, so the problem of mental delay is one of the urgent psychological and pedagogical problems of our time. This article discusses the concept of mental delay and its causes. The methods for determining the level of attention, concentration and switching attention are described: the Toulouse-Pierre technique, proof-reading and modification of the Pierre-Rooser method. The main features of attention of children of 6-8 years with a delay and typical development in an inclusive educational environment are characterized.
