Theoretical and methodological aspects of the implementation of innovative educational technologies at teaching English in university education area

Abstract

Students’ language teaching in the university educational space is impossible without the use of modern educational technologies. Traditional technologies include teaching English in artificial situations, so that the future expert sees no connection between the studied subject and his future profession. By innovative educational technologies there have been identified in the article: teaching with the computer support (CALL), the technology of creating a success situation, cooperative learning technology, technology «case-study», etc. The most appropriate technology, among the various areas of new educational technologies, is designed cooperative learning technology. Innovative educational technology of teaching English in the university educational space is impossible without the widespread use of the information technologies. «Case study» is thetechnology most suitable for students learning English in university education space. First of all students with a teacher solve the cognitive problem that has multiple solutions, all of which may be truthful. Secondly, technology «case study», unlike traditional technologies includes the democratic nature of the learning process. The student is equal to the other participants while discussing issues, including the teacher. Moreover, the benefits of «case study» are not only to gain the knowledge and practical skills but also students’ value systems, their professional positions, attitudes, professional outlook development and formation.
