Abstract

The article shows the possibility of using sand art technology in working with young children. Fairytale therapy in the sand fits organically into the children’s play activities, it does not create additional stress for a child who felt stressed after a traumatic, stressful situation. It distracts children from significant experiences, revitalizes the sphere of physical sensations blocked as a result of mental trauma, does not develop fatigue, as it is based on already formed skills and abilities. Throughout the entire art therapy session, children were maintained at a good enough level of performance and activity. In addition, creative activities helped to relieve tension and optimize the repertoire of protective and adaptive reactions.
