Foreign language study as means of activation of the personal qualities development of future professional
Abstract
The article deals with the issue how studying different sciences in different ways influences the future specialist. The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between the study of foreign language in a higher education institution and the development of the personal qualities of a higher education applicant. The object of study is the process of learning a foreign language. The subject of study - development of personality. In the process of research, the author determines that the effectiveness of teaching a foreign language increases if it is formed taking into account students’ mental processes that occur: attention, perception, memory, thinking, will, and therefore activates their development. Language communication as the ultimate goal of teaching a foreign language is inextricably linked with thinking. The dynamics of thinking and language are inextricably linked with emotions. During the study of a foreign language, the student acquires the skills of regulating the necessary relationship between thought and feeling.
