Types of independent work of students in the study of the discipline «Gender psychology»

Abstract

In the article the author reveals the concept «independent work», clarifies the role of independent students’ work in studying the discipline «Gender Psychology» in the formation of future highly qualified specialist with egalitarian worldview, ability to resist gender stereotypes and ability to work professionally; the analysis of types of independent work of students at studying of discipline «Gender psychology» is carried out. The following types of independent work of students are considered: participation in the competition of student essays / drawings «My mother is a professional», «My loving father», creative essay «My gender experience», writing a fairy tale about gender stereotypes, developing handouts for gender films topics, compiling a gender portfolio, gender expertise of periodicals, issue of information and advertising materials on gender issues. To reveal the content and features of the implementation of these types of independent students’ work.
