Abstract

In advanced psychological research, the attention of scientists is focused on the issues of predicting behavior, and not on explaining the reasons that generate it. The authors of such studies note that the use of new tools can lead psychologists to a deeper understanding of behavior. As one of these new tools, the authors of this article propose the implementation of the method of educational quests in the process of training future psychologists. Educational quests are, in fact, artificially created circumstances close to reality especially for educational purposes. The completion of educational quest by students is always aimed at achieving certain results, in particular, at the development of their creativity, critical thinking, innovativeness, initiative, etc., which makes it possible to predict this process. The authors reveal the logic of correlating the main tasks of implementing the educational quest method with tools for forecasting the results of its application, or predictors, regarding the development of certain personality qualities in students.
