Computerization of the learning process directed professional English speaking

Abstrakt

The modernization of higher education is of a crucial importance nowadays. The dissemination of IT into English classrooms and informatization of both teaching and studying processes are inevita-ble in modern educational environment. The article aims to outline the theoretical and methodological foundations of informatization of educational process in higher educational institutions. The author offers a definition of informatization considering the current state of informatization of higher education. The main directions of the active application of information and communication technologies in the educational environment are revealed in the paper. The article defines didactic and methodological possibilities of informatization for the organization of foreign languages teaching and indicates the role of informatization in prospective specialists’ professionally ori-ented English speaking teaching in the context of modern approach-es to foreign languages teaching.
