Behavioral features of children, which outlived traumatic experience

Abstrakt

This article researches peculiarities of psychological traumatic experience of children and adolescents. For children who have experienced a psychological trauma, it is difficult to understand what happened to them. This, above all, is due to their age characteristics, they lack social and psychological maturity. Traumatized children express their experiences through behavior. Due to the gap in relationships with close relatives, the child may experience negative behavioral changes. Traumatic events can cause children different behaviors, feelings that are important to track and adequately help the child to survive, manifest and work. The injury does not go by itself. She plunges deeper and deeper - the child tends to cope with the situation through psychological mechanisms of protection. In working with a child it is important to understand the essence of her problems. Planning work is with parents. After all, parents and the child’s immediate environment can become a resource for her - that will help to cope with trauma and adapt to new conditions. An important part of working with injured children is to teach adults to help them. The main functions of the adult who helps the child to overcome the injury - to protect the child and modulate her anxiety. The need for persons who provide protection is preserved by a person throughout his life. Modern theoretical researches of psychological science prove: after a traumatized child it is possible to restore reliable attachment and trust relationships in conditions of external security.
