Abstract

The article describes the stages of formation of vocational education in Germany. The artistic-industrial education in the historical-pedagogical context of the beginning of the twentieth century was considered. According to the results of the study of theoretical sources, the theoretical foundations and preconditions for the creation of the system of artistic-industrial education, the development of a network of artistic and industrial educational institutions in certain territorial and chronological boundaries have been clarified. The article reveals the peculiarities of the functioning of the German artistic and industrial schools as a cultural and educational center of artistic and industrial education of Germany at the beginning of the 20th century in the conditions of the intercultural environment of the European model.
