The place of Internet communication in the process of learning foreign languages

Abstract

The expediency of the Internet resources use in the process of for-eign language teaching is examined in this article. Teaching of for-eign languages is an area where information technologies can prin-cipally change methods of teaching. Active introduction of informa-tion technologies in an educational process provides visualization, audio and video support and control that increases the level of teaching. Such modern pedagogical technologies as the use of the Internet resources and on - line computer tutorials allow to realize the personally - oriented approach, provide individualization and differentiation of the studying process, taking into account the abili-ties of students. A computer in an educational process is not the analogue of a teacher. A computer can execute conservative work, freeing time of a teacher for creative activity. Computers promote efficiency of educational process, provide an operative feed-back. One of the most valuable characteristics of a computer is that it enables every student to work in his own mode, the optimum volume and speed of mastering the material.
