Imagery reframing as a method of psychological first aid to students in war conditions

Abstract

Imagery reframing (based on an image rather than cognitive constructs) is a technology of short-term psychological assistance (from 1 to 7 meetings), which includes psychological diagnosis using the author’s psychosemantic methodology “Color-associative experiment”, psychological counseling on changing the framework of the problem and its solution, art therapy techniques for expanding and transforming frames as stereotypes of thinking, work with the author’s deck of metaphorical associative pictures “Reframing” and written recording of achievements in the “Diary of Self-Awareness” or in the form of a drawing, photograph or any image. This technology is a specific, empirically tested sequence of actions aimed at moving the subject beyond the usual vision of the problem and, accordingly, its solution. The technology is based on the post-nonclassical (psychotechnical) paradigm in psychology.
