Peculiarities of the homonegativism expression in graduates and students

Abstract

A survey of upperclassmen and students showed a lack of loyalty to homosexuality, with homosexuality showing about 63% of respondents. There were no statistically significant differences in the distribution of homonegativity levels between school and college students, and differences between girls and boys were observed. Most young people exhibit androgynous traits. Most respondents are characterized by medium to high levels of authoritarianism. There is a direct moderate relationship between the level of authoritarianism and manifestations of homonegativism (rclass=+0,52 и rstud=+0,58). Overcoming homonegativism is possible through the construction of mediation between the heterosexual majority and the LGBT community, the rejection of relevant myths and prejudices.
