System certified training of imprisonment officers in Poland

Abstract

In the article the system of advanced training of certified staff in prisons of Poland is analyzed. The following steps of organization of the prison officers training system are described: a) primary training, b) vocational training, c) special training, d) professional development course. The specifics of assigned tasks at each stage of the training course is characterized. The directions of training in relevant sciences and specifics of pedagogical impact are analyzed. The features of the educational process organization for adults, their assessment and pedagogical control at each stage of training courses for certified personnel of the Prison Service are considered. The factors of forming the qualification approach to organization of the staff advanced training in the Prison Service of Poland are determined. It is noted that the purposes of the relevant stage of educational training and professional development of the Prison Service specialists are: obtaining skills to cope in difficult and extreme situations; creative approach to solution of complex tasks; self-improvement in own profession; gaining experience of communication and cooperation; upbringing of discipline and ethical behavior, formation of legal consciousness.
