Interdisciplinary remote work of students of scientific society in the conditions of martial law: own experience

This article discusses the experience of jointly holdingan interdisciplinary seminar on the problem of HIV/AIDS of student scientific circles of the departments of infectious diseases and propaedeutics of internal medicine of the Dnieper State Medical University, which took place in one of the forms of interactive learning. First of all, it should be noted that the format of the event in online mode with the participation of teachers and students of two departments was adapted to the conditions of distance education in connection with the introduction of martial law in Ukraine as a result of military aggression by the russian federation and anti-epidemic restrictions against the background of the coronavirus disease pandemic (Covid-19). The indisputable advantage of this seminar was that this event was able to unite a significant number of students, both junior and senior year applicants for professional education in the specialty “Medicine”. The methodology for conducting this educational event combined both theoretical knowledge of this pathology and the application of acquired knowledge in practice during the presentation and discussion of clinical situational cases. Based on the results of the event, junior students identified an increase in motivation for a deeper study of morphological and propaedeutic disciplines, which are important and necessary steps for understanding clinical issues. For graduate students, conducting seminars in a similar format is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of fundamental basic subjects for a better understanding of clinical medicine. Taking into account the experience gained in interdisciplinary meetings of student scientific societies, we can confidently note that it is the increase in the activity of creative actions that leads to better assimilation of practical and theoretical educational material, which contributes to a positive attitude towards learning with increased motivation among applicants for professional highest education.
