Some peculiarities of teaching a foreign language to the postgraduates (adjuncts) taking the non-linguistic post-graduate courses

Abstract

A good command of a foreign language as the means of communication is the demand to training the PhD students taking the non-linguistic post-graduate courses. The objective causes which discourage the realization of the aim of teaching the foreign language to the post-graduates (adjuncts) are defined. The tasks of teaching the foreign language taking into account the post-graduates’ (adjuncts’) scientific-research activity which makes it possible to get the scientific, educational, communicative, and cultural experience are considered. It is underlined that the professional approach to teaching the foreign language foresees the abilities of foreign language communication in the professional, business, scientific, cultural, and everyday life spheres and situations.
